1. Be respectful to the Admins. These are people who aside from their real lives take the time to keep this site enjoyable for everyone. I expect each and everyone of you to appreciate their efforts.
2. Be respectful to your fellow players. This goes for the cbox as well. I don't care if a member is your ex, that creepy guy from high school, your third period math teacher, etc. Fight it out in PMs or kill one another in an RP thread, not on the forum or cbox. If things do go too far, come to me and I will intervene. I will require proof however, and I will only accept printscreens. No printscreen = no proof = no admin intervention.
3. I will allow god modding/power playing to a certain extent. You are allowed to punch, grab, stab and shoot someone. However, you are NOT allowed to write that other person's reaction to it, that is up to him/her. If you are on the receiving end, I'm sure you will be creative enough to get yourself out of e.g. a headlock or any other sticky situation. If you can come up with a REALISTIC way of dodging a bullet, that will be allowed as well. You're also allowed to have a bullet impact somewhere else than it was intended as long as it doesn't deviate from the original aiming point, e.g. someone shooting a bullet at your head can impact in the shoulder or in the neck, not in your ass.
THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO KILLING OR GIVING SOMEONE DEADLY BLOWS unless it is with a member's permission.
I will be allowing godmodding and powerplaying for now as an experiment, because I believe no one can get through the 'Verse without getting injured at some point. Think about what injuries Mal sustained in the series and movie. It's the 26th century so don't worry about it not healing, or about you getting scarred. Remember how Mal's ear was as good as new when Simon mended it back on? However, if I get too much complaints about it, I will remove the right to powerplay, so keep it real!
4. No Brad the Quarterbacks or Stacey the Cheerleaders! In other words, no perfect people! Everyone has their traits and flaws. I expect your character to be a person you can come across in real life as well. Make him or her interesting! Try to find a good flaw for every trait your character has. Think about River, she was a psychic but she was also batshit crazy. I'm sure you can come up with something of your own as well.
5. No chat speak. That means no h4xx0rz or BwEeZeRfRiEnDs. I expect everyone of you to be able to write a decent word of English (and Chinese of course). As a European whose maternal language is not English, I will allow writing errors to a certain degree. If a post is full of them, I will ask you to correct what you can. If you don't correct it then, your post will be removed.
6. All posts must be at least one paragraph long. That means at least six sentences per post. I think I'm not asking for much in doing so.
7. Do not stretch the board with your signatures. You will get a warning PM if you do asking you to resize it. If you do not resize, it will be removed for you.
8. I will allow unlimited character. I will also do activity checks every now and then and will allow you a fair period of time to reply to them. If you haven't replied after that time, your characters will be put on non-active. You can PM me to get them back. If you haven't replied before the next activity check, your characters and your accounts will be removed.
If you're gone for a fair amount of time or because of one reason or another, it would be advisable to make a post in the Absence List section. You don't have to tell me why you'll be gone, your reasons are your own. I just want you to tell you'll be gone and for how long.
9. Please advertise for your site in the proper board. No advertising in the cbox or anywhere else.
10. Do not PM the admin about becoming staff. If I ever decide to add staff, I will put up a thread to ask or PM you.
11. The cbox is strictly out of character.
12. Do not begin RPing until you have been accepted. You are allowed however to post in the practice room, make your claims or post in one of the out of character threads.
13. One character per account.
14. This is one of the most important things, because I have personal experience with it but DO NOT TREAT PLAYERS AS IF THEY WERE THEIR CHARACTERS. Just because a character is a bastard, a slut, a douchebag, etc. doesn't mean the player behind it is as well. I don't want anyone starting a fight with someone else because of something his or her character did. Fight it out with your characters, not in person.
15. I've been around in the RP world and I've seen very good admins and really bad admins. I intend to be everything the good admins were and not to be anything like the bad admins. With me you will get three chances. I will not give a fourth. I'm a reasonable person but I can only take so much as a human being. If you mess up your third chance you will be banned. If you get a notice that you'll be banned, you will be given 24 hours to say your goodbyes to everyone before you will have to leave forever.
16. Don't worry if your application takes some time to get approved. I work for a living, and I have the powerful need for a social life at least once a week. Also, I'm on GMT +1 so it's possible I'm asleep or at work when you write your application. But I do check my computer every night and I will get your app approved as soon as I can. If possible, I will try and assign admins from all around the globe, so someone can get back to you in time. But for the moment I'm all alone so please cut me some slack.
